For 27 years now, Obex Medical has been serving the needs of medical professionals by providing them with the best in invasive, consumable and implantable devices. The way we see it - we’re working with them to get the best results for the patient. Obex is a recognised industry leader in clinical education, and we offer a high level of clinical and technical expertise with a strong focus on meeting the changing needs of healthcare in New Zealand.

We work hard at being a great employer for our people, and considering we recently placed as a finalist in our segment of national ‘JRA Best Workplaces 2010’ survey, that hard work is definitely paying off.

OUR DEPARTMENTS

Sales & Marketing

When we describe our sales team as dynamic, we really mean it. When you get a team of individuals who are highly motivated, professional, hard-working, fun-loving, and driven to shine in their area of expertise - it makes for an amazing atmosphere. We embody the company values of Trust, Commitment and Knowledge in everything we do, and the success of our sales team is built on strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical and educational support, and excellent business development and product management.

Customer Liaison

We pride ourselves on making sure our customers have an excellent experience when working with us. While Customer Liaison interacts with a wide variety of people from purchasing and procurement departments through to the end user of the product, they are also integral members of the sales team.

Support, Administration & Finance

Without the right support structure, there would be no success. These departments are the engine room of the organisation, keeping things ticking over, making meetings happen, and providing our management, sales team and customer liaison team with a rock-solid foundation from which to do great things.

Warehouse & Logisitics

Our warehouse is a standalone facility in Mt. Eden, and the close-knit team is made up of individuals who enjoy the work they do, the location, and the company of their colleagues. Committed to professionalism, they enjoy the challenge of getting the right items to the right place in the right time frame.

Management

Obex is an extremely supportive organisation, and we genuinely care about what our employees have to say. Our managers listen, we create open lines of communication throughout the business, and we celebrate success. Pieter Wijnhoud, CEO at Obex, believes in bringing in the right people with the right talent mix, and the right ‘fit’, and that delivering for our people is just as important as delivering for the client.
