About Obex
Obex Medical was founded in 1983 and has recently celebrated its 28th Anniversary.
Obex’s objective is to serve the needs of medical professionals with the supply of invasive, consumable and implantable devices which will enable the delivery of the best diagnosis and therapy for the patient.
Our mission statement defines this as:

Obex is a recognised industry leader in clinical education and has a high level of clinical and technical expertise with a strong focus on meeting the changing needs of healthcare in New Zealand.
We strive to be the employer of choice within our industry segment and came second in the small to medium workplaces category of the JRA Best

Anaesthesia/Critical Care and Plastics/Neuro/ENT (ACC/PNE)
The ACC/PNE business unit is a diverse business area for Obex comprising a range of established core products and a growing portfolio of more recently acquired agencies for PNE.
At Obex the Anaesthesia/Critical Care division has several established agencies including Cook Critical Care, Pall and Vital Signs. These agencies are a core part of the business with an extensive range of consumable technology for the delivery of anaesthesia.
PNE is an exciting new growth area for Obex with a range of innovative products.
The Obex ACC/PNE team offers a high level of clinical and technical expertise. They are all very committed to education in their nominated specialties.
Cardiovascular and Interventional (CV&I)
The Cardiovascular and Interventional team at Obex is a highly skilled group with an extensive background and expertise within the Operating Theatre, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, IVF and Interventional Radiology clinical settings.
Product Specialists are frequently required to attend clinical procedures and provide technical support.
Our team also offers continued comprehensive product training and support to many of our customers at levels including consultants, trainees, technicians and nursing professionals, including our very well received annual Vascular Meeting.
Endo-Surgical
The Obex Endo-Surgical team is made up of nine experienced product specialists who are highly trained within their specialist areas of Endoscopy, General, Colorectal & Upper GI Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology. They are confident and familiar within the clinical environment and regularly attend procedures and provide in-servicing.
Obex has dedicated customer service personnel handling the processing of orders received via telephone, fax and email.
Logistics
A warehouse team of three provides quick response for picking and packing goods for dispatch.
Obex does all its own warehousing with a warehouse operating in central Auckland.
We offer a personal delivery service to our local customers with a regular morning run and the availability of urgent deliveries when required.
Events and Administration
The administrative staff at Obex provide support throughout all areas of the business. They are a diverse and dynamic team with an extensive range of skills.
With its strong focus on advancing education, Obex has a dedicated Events Manager who works closely with the sales team to ensure this goal is achieved.
