Prosurgics FreeHandĀ® Robotic Camera Controller
The next generation robotic camera controller, recognised by USA's Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons as "Innovation of the Year 2008".
With FreeHand you will have a dependable assistant, helping you achieve new levels of efficiency and patient throughput. Rock steady visualisation dramatically improves surgical visualisation and reduces 'seasickness'.
Simple to set up and use
FreeHand takes just a couple of minutes to set up. It can be clamped anywhere on the table to suit the ergonomics of each individual procedure.
The scope is moved via a hands-free controller attached to your surgical cap.
Mounted on the stack next to the monitor, the indicator unit shows the direction selected for scope movement: up, down, left and right arrows. Plus and minus signs show zoom direction when the mode is selected by a swift tap on the activation pedal.
The direction is easily selected using head movements and then scope movement is initiated using the activation pedal.
Suitable for all laparoscopic procedures
FreeHand is easily incorporated into every laparoscopic procedure whether in general surgery, upper-GI, colorectal, urology or gynaecology.
FreeHand can be positioned to accommodate:
- the surgeon's preferred approach
- the number and position of your instrument ports
- the location of the scrub nurse, anaesthesiologist and stack
- any size of patient from the very large to the very slight
- the full range of patient positions
