  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Head & Neck Positioning

There are three essential components to a head and neck system:

    • Thermoplastic masks, providing positioning and immobilisation from imaging through treatment
    • Headrest, providing enhanced repositioning, accuracy and patient comfort
    • Extensions, Baseplates or Overlays, providing the foundation for the system

The first step in choosing the right thermoplastic mask is determining which patient positioning and fixation system appeals to you.  Our ZENTEC™ and Standard White masks are available in Type-S™  and Uni-frame® while Mastercast Pro™ and Posicast® are avilable for the Posifix® System.

  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Hip & Pelvic Positioning

Patient positioning for the hip and pelvic region can be difficult due to organ motion and patient shape.  Before choosing a pelvic or abdominal system, it is important to first determine which emphasis – re-positioning or immobolisatin – is the most paramount to your setup needs.

CIVCO offers an array of reproducible positioning products designed specifically for the unique setup challenges of the hip & pelvic region.  Our carbon fiber Bellyboards provide enchanced comfort while delivering repearable displacement of the small bowel.  The HipFix thermoplastic system provides secure immobilisation for reduced intra-fractional motion.  Our industry-leading Vac-Loks and Foam Cusions aid in efficient, reproducible patient repositioning.

  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Robotic Positioning

Utilising a robotic couchtop enables a cancer care clinic to deliver more accurate and effcient radiation treatments.  With a robotic couchtop, rotational adjustments in patient positioning can be corrected in all directions to ensure precise dose delivery to the target area, increasing the ability to optimise dosage while sparing the surrounding healthy tissue.

CIVCO’s Protura™ Robotic Patient Positioning System is the ultimiate in robotic patient motion management.  Designed to integrate with most IGRT solutions and Linac pedestals, the system positions the patient with 6 degrees of freedom from outside the treatment room.  Combined with CIVCO’s patient positioning and immobilisation solutions, Protura provides the platform to provide a comprehensive motion management solution.

  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

With the advancements in Sterotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), patient immobilisation continues to be critical in the success of treating more complex cases with higher doses.  The Body Pro-Lok ONE™ and Body Pro-Lok Systems™ provide an easy-to-use modular system for complex SBRT setups, including unique design features allowing for improved patient positioning and compression.

Each system provides full body immbolisation for hypfractionation treatments and allows customised setups to meet the patient’s needs, including two options (plate or belt) for reducing respiratory motion.

  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Radiotherapy (SRS/SRT)

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) use precisely focused radiation beams to treat tumors and other abnormal growths in the brain, spinal column and other body sites.  This technology delivers high doses of radiation to the tumor, therefore minimal exposure to surrounding healthy tissue is of utmost importance.

CIVCO’s trUpoint ARCH™ advances SRS/SRT setups by effectively immobilising the patient in a non-invasive hold for delivering the high radiation doses to the disease site.

  • CIVCO® Radiotherapy Thermoplastics

‘Firm Fit’™ thermoplastic is the premier thermoplastic for the Type-S family.  The segmented frame, once draped over the patient’s face, snaps together into a continuous frame on the baseplate.  Drape-style masks require less stretching of the material than continuous frame masks, resulting in a more rigid mask.
