Obex Medical is proud to announce the appointment of Peter Burnand as our new General Manager

Peter brings a unique combination of clinical insight and commercial leadership to the role. He began his career as an Anaesthetic Technician at Starship Hospital, where he spent over a decade supporting complex paediatric surgeries. Since joining Obex in 2011, Peter has grown through a series of commercial roles—most recently as Business Unit Director leading Perioperative, Cardiac Surgery, Perfusion, Anaesthesia and Critical Care sales teams with energy, focus, and a strong commitment to customer care.

Peter’s deep understanding of both the clinical environment and the medical device landscape makes him ideally placed to lead Obex into its next phase. We’re excited for what’s ahead under his leadership as we continue delivering innovative solutions to clinicians and patients across New Zealand.
